Pamela J. Sala

Pamela J. Sala, a pillar of strength and compassion, departed from this world on April 10, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. Born on July 2, 1953, she lived a life rich in love, adventure, and service. Pamela's journey intertwined with that of her beloved husband, David Sala. Their story, marked by serendipity and resilience, began in 1986 when they first met. Although life's twists led them on separate paths for a time, destiny intervened, and they found each other again in 1990. United in love, they exchanged vows in 1996, embarking on a journey of partnership that lasted until her final breath. Family was at the core of Pamela's existence. Her mother, Joyce Willis, provided unwavering support throughout her life, while memories of her late father, Richard Willis, remained cherished. Alongside her brother, Kenneth Willis, Pamela shared a bond that transcended time and distance. Her greatest joy came from her daughter, Stacie (David Czarnecki) Lum, and grandson, Payton Ward, who brought light and laughter into her world. A woman of many passions, Pamela delighted in entertaining others. Her annual Christmas Eve Eve party became a tradition eagerly awaited by friends and family alike. Her culinary skills were legendary, with each dish prepared with love and flair. Pamela's adventurous spirit knew no bounds; she longed for a hot air balloon ride, a dream sadly left unfulfilled. Education was a cornerstone of Pamela's journey. A graduate of Allen Park High School in 1971, she pursued higher education with determination, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the Detroit College of Business. Her professional path led her to the Friend of the Court, where she started as a humble clerical worker. Through hard work and perseverance, she ascended the ranks, eventually becoming the second in command at Oakland County. Pamela's commitment to child welfare was unwavering. Serving as the President of ERICSA (Eastern Regional Interstate Child Support Association) was not just a role for Pamela; it was a testament to her dedication to improving the lives of children and families. Leading the organization for a term, she worked tirelessly to advocate for policies and initiatives that would ensure the well-being of vulnerable children across the region. Her tenure as President was marked by innovation, collaboration, and a steadfast commitment to the principles of justice and equity. Under her leadership, ERICSA flourished, leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of child welfare. Her dedication was even recognized with the prestigious Felix Infausto Award from ERICSA. Pamela's passion for this cause was deep, and her contributions will continue to reverberate within the organization and beyond for years to come. In addition to her remarkable career, Pamela was a certified Health Coach and the founder of Sala Solutions, a testament to her entrepreneurial spirit and desire to make a difference in people's lives. Pamela's life will be celebrated during visitation at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Visitation will continue on April 19, 2024, at 10:00 am until the Funeral Service begins at 11:00 am. As we bid farewell to Pamela, let us cherish the memories of her boundless love, unwavering strength, and indomitable spirit. Though she may be gone from our sight, her legacy will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
