Mary Mullett

Mary (Maria) Mullett of Novi, Michigan and Singer Island, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 18th at the age of 91. Mary was born on June 21, 1930, in Detroit, MI to Joseph and Anna Francis. Mary was married in 1957 to Michael E. Mullett Jr. in Farmington, Michigan. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings Natalini DiFrancescoAntonio, Vilio Francis, Rita Francis and Joseph Francis; her husband, Michael E. Mullett Jr.; daughter, Rita Ann Smith and dear cousin Mary Coratti. Mary is survived by her loving children, Michael E. Mullett III (Jackie), James A. Mullett, Deanne M. Adaschik (Bill) and Jay J. Mullett (Dora) and grandchildren Anthony M. Adaschik, Rebecca A. Mullett, Alexis M. Adaschik, Michael E. Mullett IV, Allison M. Adaschik, Brian W. Adaschik, Makayla M. Mullett and Haylie J. Mullett. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Too many to list here. Mary was a devoted Catholic and founding member and patron of Holy Family Catholic Church in Novi, Michigan. Mary taught us to love, to hope and to place our faith in God. She encouraged us to value family, hard work, education and taught this by example. Mary leaves a legacy of kindness, generosity, friendship and love to those fortunate enough to have known her. In addition to raising five children, Mary was a career tax preparer, notary, bookkeeper and financial advisor. Throughout her last few weeks, Mary demonstrated her strong faith and strength that was truly inspirational. She never wavered in her principles or faith in God. Visitation at the O'Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Avenue, Novi, 248-348-1800 on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM. Instate Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 24505 Meadowbrook Road, Novi from 10:00 AM until time of funeral liturgy 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, The American Cancer Society and Angela’s Hospice (Livonia, MI).
