David Rambow

David Rambow passed away on March 16th in his home in New Hudson MI. He was surrounded by his 2 children, dog Rocky and 2 of his grand dogs. He was 69. David was born on July 7th, 1956, to Harold and Patricia Rambow. He was the oldest of 6 siblings and adored them all. He attended Farmington High School where he thrived in shop class. He then went onto the high school co-op program for tool and die where he found his true calling in life. His co-op teacher was so impressed by his precision expert work that he got Dave his first tool and die job at Ready Boring. At this time, he also met the love of his life Karen, married in 1979, and went on to have two children, Michelle and David Jr. He continued with a successful career and was always a high valued employee due to his expertise and strong work ethic. He loved his work and never had a bad day at the job. He would always put family first and was an amazing father. He also loved being a dad to the many, many rescue pets his wife would bring in. Dave loved to hook up the trailer to his tractor and take the dogs on rides around the neighborhood. His favorite hobbies were astronomy and riding his motorcycles. Dave took part in many biker ride charity events which showed his generosity to those in need. He retired in 2022 after a 45+ years in the business, with the last 24 years of work being at Detroit Edison. He also really enjoyed working there and kept his coworker’s friends laughing with his comical jokes. He will be remembered for his genuine, humorous, and compassionate personality, as well as the love he had for his family and everyone he knew. David was preceded in death by his loving wife, Karen, and his father, Harold Rambow. He is survived by his children; Michelle Solmos and David Rambow Jr., his mother; Patricia Rambow, and his siblings; John Rambow, Dan Rambow, Kaylene Carley, Karen Rambow, and Julie Rambow. He is deeply missed and forever in our hearts. Dave always had Jesus in his heart, and we are certain he is in heaven now having a blast. Dave deeply loved our country and all who fought for it, and of course animals as well. He would want donations to your favorite wounded warriors or animal rescue league instead of flowers. Family will receive friends on Sunday, May 3 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, with a family led Sharing of Memories beginning at 12:30 pm at the O’Brien Sullivan Funeral Home, 41555 Grand River Ave, Novi.
